Procedures in Hemodynamics Rooms

The Cath Lab, or Hemodynamics Room, is a specialized unit dedicated to performing percutaneous procedures. These procedures are carried out through the skin, using advanced equipment and devices to intervene intravascularly and intracardiacally via blood vessels. This approach allows for advanced cardiovascular treatments without the need for traditional surgical interventions, offering a less invasive alternative with quicker recovery times.

Types of Procedures Performed

In our hemodynamics rooms, a variety of specialized procedures are performed, including:

  • Cardiac: These include cardiac catheterizations, treatment of acute myocardial infarction, coronary stent placement, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and correction of heart defects.
  • Thrombi and Thrombosis: Thrombus aspiration, treatment of deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolisms.
  • Aneurysms and Embolisms: Correction of aortic aneurysms, embolization of cerebral aneurysms and tumors.
  • Gynecological Interventions: Treatment of uterine fibroids and chronic pelvic congestion.
  • Male Genital Interventions: Treatment of erectile dysfunction and prostatic embolization.
  • Limb Rescue and Internal Bleeding: Treatment of amputations and internal bleeding.
  • Varicose Veins and Tumors: Management of esophageal varices and embolization of tumors.
At Costamed's Hemodynamics Lab, we perform advanced cardiovascular procedures with minimal invasion, reducing risks and recovery times. We offer treatments for heart attacks, thrombosis, aneurysms, and more, using cutting-edge technology
