Angiology is a section of medicine that diagnoses and treats alterations and diseases of the body's blood vessels (circulatory system), both veins, arteries and lymph vessels (responsible for draining waste material and system cells), due to hereditary conditions, derived from trauma or by age.
The Angiologist can review the entire circulatory system; however, excludes the heart and intracranial and coronary arteries from his/her field, given that due to their complexity, these are treated by other medical specialties.
